WAPF PhotoWest

Chasing the Light

Each year the WAPF holds a weekend conference for members of affiliated photographic clubs to develop their photographic skills and allow them to share ideas with others who have a common interest in photography. In 2019 the conference has been renamed WAPF PhotoWest.

Workshop Camera Club (WCC) from Riverton is this year’s host club. WCC has invited UK Nikon Ambassador and European Nature Photographer of the Year, Richard Peters, and eight other interstate and local photographers with unique styles in a variety of genres. Each of the speakers will emphasise how they employ and manipulate light to create award winning photographs.

The conference fee includes all talks, Friday and Saturday evening functions, morning and afternoon teas, Saturday lunch and up to two photowalks. Optional workshops will be available on Sunday afternoon after the conference and Monday at additional cost.

The results of the WAPF Interclub/PrintWest photographic competitions will be revealed during the Saturday conference dinner and finalists' prints will be on display throughout proceedings. The conference will include product displays by our sponsors, an Epson print station and an auction of prints by renowned local photographers..
